Shipping Cost Inside the US and APO/FPO addresses:
We charge the actual shipping cost and use real time shipping calculation system, but due to the variations of the items ordered together and different sizes of boxes and shipping materials, the calculated shipping cost is not always accurate. So, we randomly review some of the orders and refund the customer if paid extra.
If you believe you paid too high, you may e-mail us to double check and let you know. We'll refund you, if the actual shipping cost was less.
For real time shipping calculation, the shopping card needs to know the shipping address. After you entered this address, you'll be able to compare the shipping cost for different shipping methods on the following page of the check out before you finalize your order.
The shopping cart calculates the shipping cost of your order by considering the total estimated shipping weight of the products in the cart. Shipping weight is the total weight of the package (including the items, box and packaging materials).
Some items are specified as shipping cost included. Those items will be shipped via USPS Priority mail Flat Rate boxes. The rate for these boxes as of May 2008 are $8.95 for small box and $12.95 for the large box anywhere in the US and for APO/FPO addresses. They are $23 and $29.95 for Canada and Mexico and $37.00 and $49.95 for most other international destinations.
At this time our shipping carriers are UPS and United States Postal Service (USPS). To know the shipping cost for your order, put all the items you would like to purchase in the cart and click the check out button. On the second page of the order form, before submitting the order, you can choose different methods of shipping and see the cost of each.
** Due to the large shipping box for Gift Baskets, in addition to the regular shipping cost, there is a special per item charge for some of the baskets. It is because shipping carriers calculate the shipping cost for large boxes based on their volume, regardless of the weight.

UPS Rate Increase Announcement for 2008:
As 2008 approaches, all of us at UPS would like to express our appreciation for your continued business. To help you plan for the coming year, we want you to know about new UPS rates and services that will take effect December 31, 2007.
UPS published small package Daily Rates will change as follows*: UPS Ground and UPS Standard to Canada services will increase 4.9%. Air and International express services will increase a net 4.9% through a combination of a 6.9% increase in rates and a 2% reduction in the air and international fuel surcharge.
Changes will also be made to accessorial charges. Delivery Area Surcharges and Residential Surcharges will increase by $0.10. The Additional Handling charge will increase by $0.50 and the charge for Address Corrections for UPS Ground packages will increase by $1.00. The charge for Declared Value will increase by $0.05 per $100 of Declared Value, with a minimum charge of $1.80, and you, as the shipper, will have the option to bill Declared Value charges for Freight Collect shipments to your account. |
